Head lice Notice

Kia ora families, as you know head lice is a common factor within early childhood centres and we have had a case of this recently. We ask that you treat your child/children for head lice regularly or please check, as this will stop the infestation of head lice in our preschool. We have lately come across a fantastic medicine that is all natural and made in New Zealand, it is called nit-enz. This product will eradicate the eggs and nits, if you would like more information please don't hesitate to ask us. The website for this product is www.nit-enz.com We have some pamphlets at the centre too if you are interested, so please just ask and we will give you one. Kind Regards The An-Nur Team

Creating Scrambled eggs

Kia ora, lately we have been implementing more of our healthy heart regime as we are looking to keep our Healthy Heart award for 2017. We have been creating healthy and nutritious morning teas for the children and allowing them to be involved in cooking processes. Check this story out if you have time.

Visible planning for children and parents

Kia ora, this is an example of our planning summarized and it is placed on the wall in the classroom with the photo's of the children. This is a great way for parents to visibly see what the children are working towards. Take a look sometime, the next time you come into the centre. Regards Louise

Individual Planning Example

Kia ora Koutou to all our lovely families, we hope you are enjoying the sunshine today and are looking forward to the onset of spring. I am just posting an example of the individual planning we do here for your children. We plan for your children's learning each month in order to keep extending them and catering towards their interests. I have changed the name on this document for privacy reasons, please take a quick read. We believe in parents input into the learning of the children, as parents are the first teachers. If you have any questions please don't hesitate in contacting us.
