A Management Tour

Introduction:

We focus on meeting the needs of children, parents, staff and funding agencies. Therefore we underpin the success of the organization.

Children:
  • Our program is focusedupon the needs of the individual childto provide opportunities for learning and experimentandfor applicationand recall.
  • It nurtures mind, bodyand spiritin a safe, fun and secure setting and is built around relationships of trust with teachers.
1) Individual Care:

  • Children of all ages enjoy individual attentionas well as participation in group activities.
  • Ourprograms, therefore, balance child-initiated and adult-facilitated play with individual activities.
  •  Social skillsandself-esteemare promoted when interacting with peers.
  • Childrengettheoccasionto work toward a common goal, make friendships and gain respect as their suggestions are integrated into the entire group’s play.
2) An Education Emphasis:
  • Education is emphasizedtaking children through developmental stages in an environment which stimulates the sensesandprovokes enquiry and explorationthroughguided experiences andnatural and spontaneous play.
3) Nurturing:
  • Each child has different developmental needs and expectations; but all the children in our care areto be nurtured.
  • Each of their experiences with us should reinforce feelings of personal security.
  • Every child should feel welcome to participate throughout the day.
4) Safety:
  • "Safety first"is the golden and abiding rule.
  • Our programsalways have a large element of fun. BUT fun must not compromise safety.
  • Allnew activities or resources should be assessed for their potential risks.
 Parents:
  • Ourrelationship with parents is one of trust and open dialogue—a partnership in the interests of the child.
  • Parents entrust their child to our care confident that we are vitally committed to their general wellbeingand safety.
1) Warm Reception:
  • An-Nur Childcare is very much a "people business"
  • Awarm and confident welcome speaks to parents about our commitment and dedication and shows that we recognise them as vital members of the centre community.
2) Support:
  • Parents are assured that we are partners as they raise their young family.
  • Making sure the child is clean and ready at the end of the day signals
our dedication to the welfareof the children in our care.
3) Consultation:
  • Parentswant to know about the developmental activities their children are experiencingat school.
  • We can benefit greatly from knowing what challenges and changes the child is experiencing at home.
4) Information:
  • Observing and recording the progress of each child and building a dialogue with parents about their child’s progress, creates continuity for the child and builds a strong sense of shared purpose between parents and us.
Staff:
  • The cohesiveness and organization of centre staff is the single most important factor in the quality and depth of care provided.
  • A strong and united team which has clear roles and accountabilities, methods for addressing problems and issues, and methods for sharing tasks and maintaining high levels of morale will always provide superior care and win the loyalty and trust of parents.
1) Standards:
  • We operate under a range of standards including Acts of Parliament and government child care code. Knowing the standards and making them work for us is a recipe for a strong and growing centre which runs like clockwork and consistently attracts the praise, loyalty and respect of parents and the wider community.
  • In addition to legislative standards, which we monitor through weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual audits, we have a range of special performance targets which relate to our customer service mission and our needs (as child care professionals) to develop and grow.
2) Efficiency:
  • Efficiency is about working smarter and following agreed processes to ensure that the workload is balanced, and to ensure that we can allocate as much time as possible to working on the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of each individual child.
3) Teamwork:
  • Our results when working together as a united team are greater than those which can be achieved by working independently of one another.
  • Fantastic child care is provided when a team shares tasks, sets common goals and maintains constant communication so that every child’s needs and interests remain in view.
  • Information is shared in strict confidentiality.
4) Development:
  • Our constant quest is to be the best and to grow and develop. Staff development includes opportunities for training and cross-training and regular evaluations conducted in a positive and friendly spirit.
Financial Position:
  • Financial performance is monitored regularly
  • Audited financial statement is prepared annually
  • Financial performance has been growing steadily
  • Financial Statement available
